this darkness made me
like it makes people

I am no longer air
letting the bullshit
pierce through 
my indiscriminate kindness

I am now someone
who knows exactly 
what she wants
and what needs to be done
to get it

this darkness made me
and changed my soul -
not black
but emerald green 
with golden spots in it
sparkling
right next to a beautiful heart
that is to be earned
not taken
